About MHLAC Training
The Mental Health Legal Advisors Committee provides educational seminars on issues of mental health for attorneys, advocates, and other professionals of all levels of experience through our Training Department. Our trainings focus on representing persons with mental illness in legal settings while addressing topics such as medication, access to health care and treatment, stigma and community resources. Typically, our trainings are approved for continuing legal education credits for the Mental Health Law Division and the Children and Family Law Unit of the Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS). Credits may also be available for social workers and licensed mental health clinicians. Written materials for most seminars are available through MHLAC for $25.
Once an event is announced, the program agenda, registration, and credit information is available on the Upcoming Training page.
