Latest Update (11/12/25):

The Peer Respite Bill had an incredible hearing on November 10, 2025!

The Joint Committee on Mental Health, Substance Use, and Recovery heard a wide range of testimony in support of the peer respite bill (H.2231/S.1383) on Monday, November 10. Video of the testimony will be available on the committee’s webpage, here.

The Committee will continue to accept written testimony until it votes on the bill. The deadline for the Committee to vote on the House version of the bill is January 9, 2026.
